With very hot weather expected over the next few days, Kearney School District is asking families to help make sure students come to school prepared to stay hydrated throughout the day.
Please send your student to school each day with a filled, reusable water bottle. Students will have opportunities to refill their bottles as needed during the school day.
This is especially important for students who ride the bus home in the afternoon, when temperatures are expected to be at their highest. We want our bus riders to have water available during their ride home, as well as throughout the school day.
Our schools and transportation team will also be keeping a close eye on students during the heat and making sure water is available when needed.
